Advanced Programs

Accelerated Green Ball Squads

Our Accelerated Green Ball sessions are designed for players who are excelling through the green ball phase and are on a faster trajectory toward yellow ball tennis. With a maximum of four players per court (expandable to eight in select cases), these 1-hour sessions focus on refining technical and tactical skills while introducing higher levels of point play and match intensity. This group is ideal for athletes nearing Super 10s level or looking to transition into the yellow ball environment in the near future.

Junior Development Squads

Junior Development Squads are tailored for players who have entered yellow ball competition and are looking to build foundational strength in a high-quality training environment. With most players sitting between a 1.0 and 2.5 UTR, these squads act as a vital stepping stone into our higher-level Competition Squads at Maribyrnong College. Sessions are underpinned by a year-round curriculum that blends physical, technical, and tactical development to foster long-term progression.

Competition Squads

Our 90-minute Competition Squads are designed for players with a UTR between 2.5 and 4.5 who are regularly competing and seeking to elevate their tournament performance. With a maximum of eight players per squad, these sessions focus on tactical development, match-play scenarios, and building consistency under pressure, helping players push beyond local competition levels.

Performance Squads

These 90-minute, high-intensity sessions are capped at a maximum of eight players and tailored for athletes with a UTR of approximately 4.5–5.0 and above. Performance Squads are suited to players competing at ITF, national, and high-level events, and provide a training environment that sharpens tactical execution, mental resilience, and physical readiness for higher level competition . These sessions are led by our most experienced coaching staff and reflect the highest performance standards within our program.

Exclusive Squads

These exclusive and trial based squads represent the pinnacle of MITS Tennis’ squad programs and set a benchmark not only within our academy but across the state of Victoria. While many programs across the state may promote "high-intensity environments" and "professional-style coaching," we understand that the quality of such squads often diminishes when overly large numbers of players are grouped together, creating a diluted and less competitive atmosphere. Next Gen, Emerging, and Elite Squads, each offering unique benefits and opportunities exclusively for players who trial and are accepted, or personally invited.
